Job summary

Dessert Holdings' London, ON facility is seeking a QA Technician (Nights) to support the company's Food Safety and Quality System. The shift runs from 10:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

with flexibility for days and weekends, and requires strong attention to detail. You will monitor processes, help develop specs, evaluate customer complaints, and conduct audits to ensure regulatory conformance. A food science degree and experience with microbiological testing are preferred, along with proficiency in Word

Qualifications

• Experience in the food industry with HACCP and GFSI required.
• Degree or diploma in food science or equivalent.
• Computer literate with Word, Excel and Windows.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to US and other Canadian facilities.
• Experience with microbiological (plating) testing.

Responsibilities

• Process / product monitoring, evaluation and problem solving.
• Develop and maintain product/process specifications, SOPs.
• Customer/consumer complaint evaluation
• Participate with new products team in specification development and new product implementation.
• Conduct various audits to monitor conformance to regulatory and corporate requirements.
