Manning Park Resort, Inc. is seeking a flexible, independent Night Patrol and Janitor to join our Accommodations team in the scenic Manning Park area. The role blends security oversight with thorough cleaning of the lodge, pools, dining and public spaces.

The candidate should be comfortable working evenings through overnight hours, outdoors in all conditions, and able to lift up to 50 lb. We offer staff housing and a start date in December, with a full-time, permanent position and benefits.

Formación

• Minimum Class 5 Driver's License required.
• Fluent in English; second language a plus.
• Basic First Aid Certification (8hrs) or willingness to obtain it.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Good physical condition; ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain professional appearance with guests.
• Custodian/janitor experience is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Night Patrol: patrol buildings, cabins and ski hill; check doors/windows and enforce rules.
• Patrols conducted during evening, night, and early morning hours.
• Provide detailed nightly reports to management; escalate incidents as needed.
• Snow removal and outdoor cleaning duties; maintain safety around entrances.
• Janitor duties: clean lodge, pool, restaurant, washrooms and public areas daily.
• Assist housekeeping and accommodations with duties and linen/amenities delivery.

We are presently looking for our next great team member as a Night Patrol and Janitor to join our Accommodations team.

This is a flex position for 5 shifts per week: 2 shifts as a Night Patrol and 3 shifts as a Janitor. We are looking for a candidate that works well independently, has great communication skills and enjoys working during the evening and overnight. This is a full-time permanent position with a start date the first week of December.

Night Patrol Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Working during the evening, night and early morning hours.
• Patrolling all buildings and cabins (which includes walking around buildings and checking/securing windows and doors).
• Ensuring there is no behavior that would put guests at risk.
• Reminding guests about and enforcing all MPR and BC parks rules including quiet time
• Closing all required areas at the predetermined times.
• Checking on the ski hill, which includes checking all doors and windows and walking around all buildings.
• Checking the Maintenance yard, doors, windows on vehicles as well as buildings.
• Checking staff housing to ensure rules are being adhered to.
• Providing a detailed report to your manager on a nightly basis.
• Proper maintenance of vehicle, and reporting any problems that may occur, immediately
• Filling out a full incident report for any incidents that take place.
• Janitor responsibilities as needed

Janitor Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Ensure the lodge, Loon Lagoon (pool & fitness facility), restaurant, banquet rooms, washrooms and hallways are cleaned to a high standard daily.
• General cleaning of offices, public areas including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing walkways and stairways, dusting and wiping down high touch surfaces, washing windows, removing garbage.
• Follow all protocols for sanitizing public and private areas.
• Assist the housekeeping team by stripping rooms, loading up carts & trucks and stocking maids' rooms.
• Assist the accommodations team with general duties around the resort.
• Deliver additional linens & guest amenities to accommodations.
• Assist with Housekeeping duties as required.
• Snow removal from building entrances and general outdoor cleaning and safety duties.
• Other tasks as required within MPR.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Class 5 Driver's License is a must
• Fluent in English. A second language would be considered an asset.
• Basic First Aid Certification (8hrs) or willingness to obtain one. Note that MPR will be offering a First Aid Course at no cost as well.
• Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Work well unsupervised
• Ability to manage your time efficiently
• Good physical condition
• Ability to lift up to 50lb
• Excellent communication skills, as well as excellent problem-solving abilities
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with hotel guests
• Previous experience as a janitor or custodian is an asset
