Job summary

Cogir Real Estate's Regency Sandalwood Retirement Resort in Kelowna is hiring a Night Concierge. This is a casual, on-site role supporting residents with hosting, housekeeping, laundry and safety under the Concierge Supervisor.

You will greet residents, respond to alarms, manage front door security, answer phones, assist with activities and coordinate with Maintenance. Two years in hospitality and Serving It Right are required; strong communication and patient demeanor are essential.

• Two years recent related experience in the hospitality industry.

• Monitor front door security and sign-in of visitors.

• Set up and participate in activities planned by the Activity Director.
• Maintain building security through alarm systems and checks.
• Perform cleaning and laundry tasks; report equipment issues.
• Address resident requests and assist with minor maintenance.

Join Our Team as an Night Concierge at Sandalwood Retirement Resort!

Location:

Regency Retirement Resorts have 8 locations in the Okanagan, including Vernon, Penticton, West Kelowna, and Kelowna. This position is on site at Kelowna.

Job Description:

Under the direction of the Concierge Supervisor, you will be supervising and performing duties encompassing hosting, housekeeping, laundry and the security and well-being of the Residents within established guidelines and procedures assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set an example for staff in conduct, grooming, and appearance.
• Respond to resident emergency alarms, assess situations, and call for ambulance if needed.
• Monitor front door security, ensuring all visitors are signed in as required.
• Answer phones, book guest meals, schedule in-house appointments, and record incidents.
• Foster a positive, friendly atmosphere through professional communication with residents.
• Set up and participate in activities planned by the Activity Director.
• Maintain building security through alarm systems and regular security checks.
• Perform assigned cleaning and laundry duties, report equipment issues to Maintenance.
• Respond to resident requests, assess problems, and perform minor maintenance (e.g., unplug toilets, reset breakers).
• Reports damaged or inoperable equipment, furniture and fixtures to the Maintenance department.
• Assist with new employee orientation and perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Two years recent related experience in the hospitality industry.

• Must be tactful, friendly and extremely patient when dealing with residents. Must be courteous and friendly to visitors and work in a cooperative manner with fellow workers.

Wage and Hours of Work

• This is a casual position.
• The hourly wage for this position is $21.27/hour, plus a $2.00/hour overnight premium.
