Job summary

Sofina Foods Inc. is hiring an Engineer 4th Class/Millwright to oversee boiler operations and maintain critical plant equipment in a food processing environment.

The role requires hands-on mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration system knowledge and the ability to work the 11 pm–7:30 am shift. Candidates should have a 4th Class Power Engineering ticket and at least two years of repairs experience in a food facility; Millwright certification is an asset.

Qualifications

• 4th Class Power Engineering ticket is required.
• At least two years of repairs in a food processing plant.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to use power and manual tools.
• Millwright Journeyman certificate or equivalent is an asset.
• English reading/writing and work eligibility in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Operate boiler machinery as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.
• Maintain all mechanical equipment and systems in the plant.
• Perform daily pre-operational inspections and repairs as needed.
