Northland Properties is seeking a Hotel Night Auditor for the Sandman Hotel Group in Canada. The role balances and consolidates departmental ledgers and prepares operating reports overnight at the front desk.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, a two-year apprenticeship/college program in front desk operations or hotel management, and strong customer service or people-management experience.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English; French preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Two-year apprenticeship or college program in front desk operations or hotel management preferred.
• Experience in customer service and people management.
• Knowledge of hospitality industry principles and accounting practices.
• Ability to analyze client needs and offer appropriate options, solutions and resolutions.
• Strong conflict resolution, negotiation and objection handling skills.
• Able to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
• Able to build and maintain relationships with corporate departments, key business partners and customers.
• Knowledge of cost analysis, fiscal management and budgeting techniques.
• Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Responsabilités

• Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments.
• Register arriving guests and assign rooms.
• Answer inquiries regarding hotel services and registration; provide community information and respond to complaints.
• Compile and check daily record sheets, guest accounts, receipts and vouchers using computerized or manual systems.
• Present statements of charges to departing guests and receive payment.
• Hotel security duties.
• Post all daily room charges and outstanding balances.
• Take over from the evening cashier, verify float and takings.
• Accept revenues and floats from restaurant cashiers and secure them properly.
• Accept and lock away keys from various departments.
• Prepare credit card/charge card summaries and post to accounts.
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and appearance.
