Job summary

Providence Health Care in Vancouver’s St. Paul’s Hospital Pregnancy, Birthing and Newborn Centre seeks a Staff Nurse to support maternity care, prenatal classes, private birthing experiences, and post‑birth supports for diverse families.

Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care, adapt the plan of care, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver culturally safe, trauma‑informed care.

Qualifications

• Current RN registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
• Two years' maternity experience or Perinatal/Midwifery certification.
• Neonatal resuscitation certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care.
• Develop and revise the plan of care.
• Provide teaching to patients and families.
• Support other health care professionals in care delivery.
