Job summary

Providence Health Care in Vancouver is seeking an experienced Critical Care Staff Nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate complex nursing care for patients in our critical care units. You will work within an interdisciplinary team, lead patient and family education, and collaborate with physicians and allied health staff to deliver high‑quality, compassionate care.

The role requires current RN registration with BCCNM, strong CPR skills, and the ability to prioritize, teach and provide

Qualifications

• Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Post-Basic Education funding may be provided for eligible staff to pursue further education.

Responsibilities

• Assess, identify, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care.
• Develop, revise and document the plan of care.
• Lead patient/family group education and coaching.
• Provide direction to Care Attendants and Licensed Practical Nurses.
• Document care and discharge plans; ensure continuity of care.
