Job summary

Entegris, Inc. in Toronto is seeking an Engineering Technician for New Product Development to join the Scale-up and Manufacturing Readiness team. The role focuses on process development, small-scale runs, and addressing scale-up challenges in a fast-paced lab environment.

The ideal candidate combines lab proficiency with hands-on mechanical skills and the ability to manage multiple parallel activities, while maintaining safety and quality standards. This position is based in Toronto, ON.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Synthetic Chemistry, or related field.
• 1+ years of experience in process development, scale-up, manufacturing, or lab environments.
• Experience with pilot plant operations, chemical processing equipment, and bench-scale work.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a safety mindset.
• Execute air-sensitive experiments to develop and optimize chemical processes per plan.
• Record and document experiments, observations, and results.
• Perform analysis of process samples using NMR, GC, HPLC etc.
• Provide input for scale-up from lab to pilot and manufacturing, including control strategies.
• Identify and convey process risks.
• Assist with scale-down activities for process issues.
• Support process characterization and robustness studies.
• Communicate findings through verbal and written presentations.
