Job Title:

Area Manager - New Home Sales Representative

Objective:

  • To promote and sell homes to our valued customers to enable McKee Homes to be the most highly sought after home builder in our chosen markets.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintain punctual show home operational hours set forth by the developer.
  • Take clients through the complete sales process including quote requests, writing the purchase agreement, helping with lender requirements, waiving conditions, and maintaining a positive relationship throughout.
  • Report any information deemed necessary to the developer and maintain good working relationships with the developer.
  • Attend developer meetings as required.
  • Take ownership and oversee all aspects of their show home and sale centers.
  • Maintain a professional appearance including grooming and appropriate clothing. No jeans permitted.
  • Ensure that the show home is clean and presentable.
  • Represent all pricing, quotes, possession dates and any information with accuracy and integrity.
  • Report all sales.
  • Ensure that all marketing and display materials are current and approved by McKee Homes.
  • Ensure that all lot signage is current.
  • Treat any new and existing clients, outside real estate agents and any sales associate from McKee Homes fairly and with respect.
  • Communicate clearly with other Area Representatives.
  • Submit any and all paperwork to the office within 24 hours.
  • Ensure all lot signage is up to date and lot signs are maintained.
  • Attend client site walk throughs as required from time to time and report back to the site supervisor and home planner any issue realized at the walk through. Provide appropriate safety equipment to clients for the meetings.
  • Attend and participate in any events or meetings that may be required by community developer.
  • Attend and participate in weekly or bi-weekly sales meetings at the head office.
  • Attend appropriate corporate events.
  • Submit weekly traffic reports to both the sales manager, sales coordinator and developer.
  • Periodically check spec homes that are completed and for sale.
  • Attend orientations on completed spec homes with a warranty technician.
  • Complete monthly showhome safety reports and send to both the safety officer and sales manager on the 1st Thursday of the month.
  • Complete monthly showhome deficiency reports and send to both the warranty and sales managers on the 1st Thursday of the month.
  • Follow McKee Homes Health and Safety Program in all aspects of work.
  • Work with the Marketing team to promote and advocate for McKee Homes including content creation and posting to social media.

Reporting Structure:

  • Area Manager - New Home Sales Representative will report to the Sales Manager.

Location:

  • The show homes in their assigned area, as well as various Spec Homes that are for sale and attending various meetings at McKee Head Office at 406 1st Avenue NW, Airdrie.

Hours of work:

  • 2:00 – 8:00pm Monday to Thursday.
  • 12:00 – 5:00pm Saturday and Sunday and Holidays.
  • Bi-weekly Team Sales Meetings as scheduled by the Sales Manager.

Physical requirements:

  • Class 5 drivers license.

Special conditions:

  • Standard First Aid certification.
  • Showhome office comes equipped with desktop computer, printer, internet and land line telephone connections.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Real Estate license or experience in New Home Sales.
  • Basic use of pdf, email, database filing, Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Word – standard understanding of computers.
