Cenovus Energy’s New Grad Program in Calgary invites graduates from Engineering, Computer Science and Software Development to rotate through three 12-month assignments, with mentorship and exposure to data analytics and industrial automation.

You will develop practical solutions using PI System, SQL and Python, collaborating with OT/Engineering teams to support production optimization and decision-making. Three rotations build broad business acumen and a path to a permanent role.

Qualifikationen

• Legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Available to begin work June 2027.
• Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Software Development obtained by May 31, 2027 and completed within last 2 years (2025, 2026, or 2027).
• Less than two years of professional experience in the discipline.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.
• Exposure to programming or scripting, preferably Python.
• Familiarity with SQL, databases, Git, cloud computing, APIs, web development, data visualization or industrial data historians is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Collaborate with engineering, operations and IT/OT teams to understand production processes and data requirements.
• Analyze production and process data to identify trends, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain scripts, calculations, data models and integrations using PI System, SQL, Python and cloud platforms.
• Support design, testing and deployment of engineering tools, automated workflows, dashboards, APIs and web apps.
• Investigate data quality and system integration issues and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Other duties will vary depending on business needs.
