Job summary

Cenovus Energy offers multi-disciplinary engineering student internships across Calgary and field locations, including Reservoir, Production, Facilities, Drilling, and process safety roles. You will work with mentors on meaningful projects and gain experience with cutting-edge tools and analytics.

Eligibility requires enrollment in an accredited engineering program and the ability to begin in May 2027. Relocation support and relocation-friendly terms may be available in some locations.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an Engineering undergraduate program at time of work term and returning to full-time studies after.
• New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
• Co-op or internship program enrollment is accepted for duration of work term.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical: assist with risk assessment, P&ID reviews, and MOC management.
• Chemical/Process: apply engineering theory to safety, environmental and integrity concerns; support safety limits and digital twin models.
• Process Safety: support risk management, hazard analyses, and barrier management for Major Accident Hazards.
• Electrical: assist electrical design and instrumentation scopes, network setup, and data analysis.
