New Business Coordinator - Bilingual (French/English)

Position Title: New Business Coordinator - Bilingual (French/English)

Reports To: Manager, Individual New Business

Department: Individual New Business Coordination

Term: Temporary Full-Time - Eighteen (18) Month Contract

Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (must be available to work 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on a rotational basis, approximately one week every 3 months)

Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement, and some roles may require more in-office work.

The Opportunity: Equitable is growing! We are looking for a Bilingual New Business Coordinator to join our team.

We’re seeking an individual with a keen eye for detail and a knack for providing outstanding service to internal clients. The successful Coordinator will support and administer the accurate processing of all Individual New Business applications and inquiries. This is a great entry-level opportunity in the insurance industry.

What you will be doing:

  • Process new life insurance applications by accurately entering information into various systems, verifying completeness and correctness.
  • Communicate with and support Advisors, MGAs, and DISs to follow up on outstanding requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to MGAs, AGA, external Vendors, and Regional Staff.
  • Handle requests and modifications as required.
  • Ensure applications are processed within set service standards, managing fluctuating volumes and changes.
  • Problem solve daily work assignments.
  • Provide daily updates to the Manager regarding volumes processed, process times, and other metrics.

What you will bring:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows-based programs and excellent keyboarding skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Process-driven with a superior customer service attitude.
  • Experience in UWPro and OnBase is an asset.
  • Fluent in both French and English.
