Job summary

The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute is seeking a part-time Clinical Research Assistant I to support spinal cord injury studies and translational research in the Neurosurgery program. You will assist with patient screening, data collection, and documentation under supervision.

Ideal candidates have prior clinical research exposure, strong attention to detail, and good communication skills to collaborate with clinicians and researchers across departments.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or diploma in health sciences, life sciences, neuroscience, nursing, or a related field.
• Previous experience in clinical research or hospital-based research environment.
• Experience with data collection, data entry, and study documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic data management systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support spinal cord injury studies and clinical trials.
• Screen and track eligible patients, collect and enter data, and maintain study documentation.
• Support Research Ethics Board submissions and regulatory documentation.
