Job summary

TekWissen in Canada seeks a Network Administrator to install, configure, and support LAN/WAN and Internet systems, monitoring network availability for all users and performing backups and disaster recovery. An associate degree is required, with a bachelor’s degree preferred, and 2–4 years of experience.

Strong communication, problem solving, and time management are essential. Role is on-site in Manitoba, with duties including troubleshooting, network security, and maintaining email and antivirus

Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including hardware and software configurations.
• Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or network problems; replace defective components.
• Configure, monitor and maintain email applications or antivirus protection software.
• Operate master consoles to monitor performance of systems and networks and coordinate access.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data.
