Network Support Engineer
An established technology company is looking for a driven and enthusiastic Network Support Engineer to join their Network Operations Centre (NOC). This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting and implementing a wide range of network infrastructure solutions for a varied client base.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver first-line support for network infrastructure, including configuration and installation of routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and QoS.
Monitor network systems to maintain performance and ensure uptime.
Own support cases and manage them through to resolution with professionalism and efficiency.
Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of networks to meet service level agreements and client needs.
Produce detailed configuration documentation and implementation plans to support smooth project delivery.
Assist with pre-sales activity, pre-build setup, and on-site support where necessary.
Uphold a high standard of customer service and maintain strong relationships with clients and team members.
What You’ll Need:
At least 3 years’ experience delivering WAN and LAN solutions using technologies such as Fortinet, Cisco, or Juniper.
CCNA certification (or equivalent knowledge).
Familiarity with tools such as PRTG and Visio for monitoring and documentation.
Hands-on experience with routing protocols like OSPF and BGP.
Ability to design and plan network deployments, including basic network diagrams.
Based within a commutable distance of Guildford and access to personal transport.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with VMware is a plus.
Clear and confident communication skills.
Strong teamwork with a proactive mindset.
Interest in identifying opportunities to improve service delivery or enhance client solutions.
