What you’ll be doing…

You’ll collaborate with top database experts, developing your skills and expertise in databases. This is not a monotonous, entry-level role.

Your main responsibility will be assisting our customers’ DBA teams by gathering data, investigating issues, and providing detailed analyses via email, chat, or voice. For critical issues, you’ll perform screen-sharing sessions to resolve problems efficiently.

When not troubleshooting, you’ll contribute blog posts, answer forum questions, create articles for our knowledge base, and host webinars.

This is a remote role, so location is flexible, requiring only a stable internet connection.

What Have You Done:

• Hands-on knowledge of PostgreSQL and related tools
• Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing
• Knowledge of backup solutions like pg_basebackup, pgBackRest, WAL-G, and Point-in-Time Recovery
• Experience with high availability solutions and zero-downtime procedures
• Understanding monitoring requirements
• Administering Linux systems
• Methodical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated learner eager to adopt new technologies
• Willingness to travel occasionally for meetings or conferences
• Experience working with English-speaking customers
• Desirable: Kubernetes knowledge

What Would Make You Stand Out:

• MySQL experience
• Experience with SLA-bound operations
• Open-source contributions
• Proficiency with screen-sharing and remote communication tools
• Knowledge of Patroni, Repmgr, Stolon
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, RDS, Azure, GCP)
• Monitoring tools like Percona Monitoring & Management (PMM)
• Configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
• SQL expertise, including advanced window functions and recursive CTEs
• Indexing techniques, including Full-Text Indexing
• Experience with PostgreSQL extensions and foreign data wrappers
• Linux troubleshooting tools (gdb, perf, strace, etc.)
• Programming in C
