Job summary

City of Richmond Hill is seeking an Infrastructure Analyst to implement and support the City’s server, application, network and telecommunications infrastructure. You will collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable technology platforms.

This role requires strong networking expertise, relevant certifications, and a minimum of four years in IT. Evening shifts, on-call duties, and site travel may be required, with mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

Diploma in computer science or related discipline.
Cisco Enterprise Certification required.
Security Certification, Microsoft Certification and VMware Certification considered assets.
4 years of relevant IT experience.

Responsibilities

Implement, maintain and support infrastructure and technology platforms securely and reliably.
Manage, deploy, and operate network environments (Firewalls, Routers, Switches, WAPs, Load Balancers, VPN).
Design and implement high availability solutions for business continuity.
Provide second-tier support and troubleshoot operational issues.
Coordinate moves, adds, changes and removal of networking equipment and services.
Perform routine system backups and restores.
Monitor network performance and security, apply patches.
Collaborate with Project Teams and IT/business units for seamless integration.
Document standards, procedures, and ITIL-aligned service management.
