Job summary

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree/diploma in telecommunications.
• 5–10 years in a Technical Assistance or Network Management environment within an Optica Transport environment.
• PC literacy including Microsoft Office Suite; FTP, Telnet, C++, Phyton, TL1 scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation across Network Operations.
• Implement and review network tools/scripts.
• Identify new automation opportunities based on data-driven analysis.
• Liaise with network engineering & PMO to address network anomalies.
• Implement engineering specifications for software, hardware and feature upgrades.
• Enhance network security through user administration of transport network elements.
