The Network Designer, Facilities & Power is responsible for the design and standardization of telecommunications facilities and supporting infrastructure, including central offices, remote huts and cabinets, points of presence (POPs), and critical power and environmental systems. Working as part of an integrated Network Design team, this role develops complete, construction-ready design packages that include equipment layouts, DC power and battery systems, standby generation, commercial power integration, grounding and bonding, cable management, and environmental support systems.
This position plays a key role in advancing a standardized and scalable approach to network infrastructure design. The successful candidate will develop and maintain repeatable facility designs, approved equipment standards, and consistent engineering documentation to support efficient deployment, operations, and maintenance across both new and existing sites.
As a hands-on intermediate-to-senior-level role, the Network Designer manages projects through the full lifecycle, from concept and detailed design to construction support and as-built documentation. The position also develops bills of materials, cost estimates, and technical documentation to support procurement, capital planning, and network expansion initiatives. Working within a distributed team environment, the successful candidate will provide technical leadership in facilities and power design while helping establish and evolve organizational standards, processes, and best practices.
