Network Analyst Resources
Visionpool Business Services is hiring two Network Analysts who will work within the Enterprise Networks team to support the operational administration and implementation of the various components of their LAN/WAN infrastructure for both corporate and SCADA networks.
This role is based in Regina. Remote will not be considered.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years recent and practical network administration/analyst and design/architecture experience
- Demonstrated expertise in Spine and Leaf data center networks utilizing VXLAN with BGP EVPN
- Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and maintaining various routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF
- Hands-on experience with Cisco's suite of networking equipment, including switches and routers
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet’s networking equipment, including firewalls, switches, and access points
- Experience with Fortinet security tools such as FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiNAC
- Experience configuring and maintaining network resources in Microsoft Azure, including virtual networks, peering, route tables, Front Door, WAF, and security groups
- Additional expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Skilled in managing load balancers and web application firewalls
- Understanding of network security best practices and enterprise-level network integration of on-premises and cloud environments
- Experience with LTE and satellite communication technologies
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and Change Management processes
- Experience operating supervisory controls and data acquisition (SCADA) networks
- Relevant experience in North America
Typical Activities for this role include
- Administer, implement, troubleshoot, and document the enterprise network for continuous and efficient operation
- Develop strategic plans for network device evolution aligned with business needs and industry standards
- Monitor and optimize network performance, troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability
- Manage disaster recovery processes, including planning, implementation, and testing
- Engage with employees to address technology concerns and escalate issues as needed
- Implement network updates following company protocols to maintain security and functionality
- Maintain system integrity through change control and problem management procedures
- Stay updated on the latest networking technologies and industry developments
- Contribute to team goals, organize work processes, and foster teamwork
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and participate actively in team meetings
- Collaborate across teams to develop scalable network solutions
- Represent Digital Technology & Security department’s strategic goals
