Job summary

West Fraser in Vancouver, BC is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to manage and secure our enterprise network, including LAN, WLAN and SD-WAN. The role emphasizes reliability, performance, and security across sites.

You will work with a variety of technologies, implement zero-trust frameworks, firewalls, remote access, and monitoring, and contribute to continuous improvement of network systems. Office-based role with opportunities for growth and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

Bachelor level or higher in Information Technology, Network Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of enterprise network administration experience.
Strong hands-on with SD-WAN technologies and implementations.
Solid understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP) and VLANs.
Experience with firewalls, IPS/IDS, WAF and SASE.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain core and site network infrastructure across the organization.
Design, implement, and optimize network topologies and SD-WAN across sites.
Configure and manage WiFi networks and wireless performance.
Implement Zero-Trust architecture and remote access solutions.
Monitor performance and troubleshoot to ensure network availability and security.
Maintain network documentation and improve policies and procedures.
