Job summary

OXARO Inc. in Ottawa, Canada is seeking a seasoned software developer to translate specifications into coded deliverables and to design microservices on Azure PaaS for digital regulatory capabilities.

You will write secure code, test with sample data, collaborate with architects, and contribute to deployment artifacts while adhering to API contracts and established design patterns. The role emphasizes practical DevOps with Azure DevOps, VS/VS Code, and event-driven architecture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an intermediate (Level 2) programmer/software developer.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development and coding experience using C#.
• 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of commercial software product development, cloud software application development for business use based on commercial cloud PaaS, and core business operations application development.
• 5+ years of experience implementing software solutions using established design patterns and contract-first development practices, where formal specifications such as API contracts, interface definitions, and schemas drive design, development, testing, and integration.
• 2+ years of hands-on micro-services development experience as the primary or intermediate developer.
• 1+ years of hands-on development experience with one or more of Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, and Azure Cosmos.
• 3+ years of development experience using Visual Studio and/or Visual Studio Code.
• 2+ years of event-driven (microservices) software development experience.
• 1.5+ years of DevOps cycle experience with Azure DevOps, including repositories, pipelines, and artifacts.
• 1+ years of GraphQL development experience.

Responsibilities

• 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of commercial software product development, cloud software application development for business use based on commercial cloud PaaS, and core business operations application development.
• 5+ years of experience implementing software solutions using established design patterns and contract‑first development practices, where formal specifications such as API contracts, interface definitions, and schemas drive design, development, testing, and integration.
• 2+ years of hands‑on micro‑services development experience as the primary or intermediate developer.
• 1+ years of hands‑on development experience with one or more of Azure Service Bus (messaging bus), Azure Functions (serverless computing), and Azure Cosmos (multi‑model database).
• 3+ years of development experience using Visual Studio and/or Visual Studio Code.
• 2+ years of event‑driven (microservices) software development experience.
• 1.5+ years of DevOps cycle experience with Azure DevOps, including repositories, pipelines, and artifacts.
• 1+ years of GraphQL development experience.
