Job description

Omniply is looking for a nanofabrication technologist to join the R&D team and work on new materials for delamination of thin films used for fabricating the next generation of flexible organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays. We are looking for a candidate with a background in STEM and at least 2 years of industry work experience.

Desired Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience in nanotechnology to deliver samples/products to clients.
Responsibilities:
  • Deposit thin films using various vacuum deposition techniques
  • Perform polymer coatings and characterizations
  • Prepare samples to send to clients with attention to quality control
  • Perform and collect data from delamination experiments and prepare comprehensive reports
  • Help technical team with thin film fabrication, characterization, resource allocation, acquisition of equipment and tools.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in STEM field
  • 2+ years of experience preparing samples and shipping to customers
  • Familiarity with thin film deposition techniques and polymer coating tools
  • Familiarity with thin film metrology tools
  • Ability to write technical documents
  • Self-motivated and creative/innovation
  • Data-driven with strong documentation and reporting skills
  • Good analytical/modeling skills, ability to work under pressure
