Job description

Job Description : Omniply is seeking a nanofabrication technologist to join the R&D team, focusing on developing new materials for delamination of thin films used in fabricating next-generation flexible organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays.

Desired Skills : Qualified to access the McGill nanofab, familiar with most deposition and characterization tools in the nanofab, with a high attention to detail in work style.

Responsibilities :

• Deposit thin films using various vacuum deposition techniques.
• Perform polymer coatings and characterizations.
• Prepare samples for clients with attention to quality control.
• Conduct delamination experiments, collect data, and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Assist the technical team with thin film fabrication, characterization, resource allocation, and equipment acquisition.

Qualifications :

• Masters or Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
• 2+ years of experience preparing samples and shipping to customers is preferred.
• Experience with thin film deposition techniques and polymer coating tools.
• Experience with thin film characterization tools and data analysis.
• Ability to produce technical documentation.
• Self-motivated, creative, and innovative.
• Data-driven with strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Good analytical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
