Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Under the general direction of the Manager Health Services, the Music Therapist is responsible for providing a music therapy program as a therapeutic tool for patients, to restore, maintain and improve mental, physical and emotional health; responding to psychosocial needs of the patients and their families; prioritizing patient caseloads; managing the daily organizational components of the Music Therapy Program; and supervising music therapy students and interns. The Music Therapist acts in a professional manner adhering to the principles of Family Centred Care.
SPECIAL TRAINING:
Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
