Position Summary
The Dental Therapist works under the supervision of the Dentist and provides services to children 14 years and younger. They are responsible under a dentists treatment plan for fillings stainless steel crowns extracting primary teeth and pulpotomy treatment. They also perform x-rays sealants fluoride varnish impressions local anesthesia and oral health promotion.
Qualifications
Education
Completion of a Dental Therapist training program with applicable certification licensing and registration
Skills Expertise and Experience
Minimum two years experience as a Dental Therapist
Required to provide dental care in a variety of settings including temporary clinics in community settings

Proven knowledge and ability in critical thinking decision-making problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

Demonstrated ability to prioritize and focus work-related activities to effectively and efficiently achieve goals and produce expected results / outcomes
