Job summary

The City of Woodstock, located in Oxford County, seeks a part-time Museum/Culture staff member to manage front desk operations, rentals, and weekend staffing. You will oversee gift shop sales, class registrations, and event setup, while ensuring building access and security.

The role includes coordinating lectures, tours, and community programs with a focus on visitor experience. Ideal candidates will have Grade 12 or equivalent, experience with computerized retail transactions, and the ability

Grade 12 or equivalent, and/or relevant experience.
Experience dealing with computerized retail transactions.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to address a large group in a tour or sessions.

Responsibilities

Front desk visitor services with a focus on rentals and weekend on-site staff responsibilities: opening/closing, security, public access, gift shop sales, and class registrations.
Programs and coordinates events: lectures, tours, bus trips, concerts; set up events/equipment; maintain records and statistics; conduct tours for various groups.
Presents programs for child and adult classes/workshops: registers participants and maintains records; evaluate class/workshop success when required.
