Job summary

The Western Development Museum in Moose Jaw is seeking a Maintenance Assistant (Part Time) to perform custodial care and duties supporting museum operations. This hourly role requires reliability, safety-mindedness, and the ability to work 24–32 hours weekly in a museum setting.

Starting pay is $17.47 per hour with WDM benefits. The position involves standing, lifting, and long periods of walking within a historic facility, and collaboration with other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to perform physical labour and stay on feet for long periods.
• Comfortable with a variety of hand and power tools.
• Commitment to safety practices in a workshop environment.
• Excellent teamwork and willingness to assist other staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality custodial care and housekeeping of the facility and grounds.
• Provide excellent customer service to museum patrons, volunteers, clients and co-workers.
• Assist other staff and departments as needed.
• Always be visible, professional, helpful and proactive.
• General duties as assigned in pursuit of the results of the job.
