Job summary

The City of Beaumont is seeking a skilled Operator to operate and maintain our municipal water facilities, wastewater collection system and drainage facilities. We expect a service-focused professional with strong communication skills and safety at the forefront.

Key qualifications include NAIT graduate or equivalent, Level II Water Distribution and Level II Wastewater certificates (Level I if needed), and 5 years of municipal experience. Valid Driver’s License required.

Qualifications

• Municipal infrastructure experience preferred.
• 2-5 years of municipal water/sewer infrastructure experience.
• Must hold Level II Water Distribution and Level II Wastewater certificates if available.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain municipal water facilities and wastewater collection and drainage systems.
• Inspect water/sewer systems and address water concerns.
• Support subdivision and infrastructure inspections.
• Conduct sampling and testing of sanitary sewer and storm water.
• Deliver excellent customer service to residents and follow safety policies.
