Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Multi Skilled Worker to cover housekeeping, laundry and food service for residents with memory and health issues. The role requires ability to multitask, lift up to 20lbs and stand for extended periods, with shifts 6am–6:30pm and holidays as scheduled.

You will perform housekeeping duties, assist with food service, and adhere to health and safety guidelines while reporting hazards. English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • Must have valid Food Handler Certification or provincial equivalent.
  • Experience in housekeeping and food services is an asset.
  • Healthcare or long-term care experience is preferred.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good command of English and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform housekeeping duties such as maintaining residents' rooms and common areas.
  • Assist with food preparation, setup and cleanup of chairs & tables, serving meals, delivering trays, dishwashing and kitchen cleanliness.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines and report injuries and hazards to the supervisor.

Job description

Covering areas of Housekeeping, Laundry and Food Service to residents with memory and Health issues. We operate 7 days a week with hours between 6am-6:30 pm. Must be able to multi task, lift up to 20lbs, stand for extended periods. Must have reliable transportation and be available for shift work when scheduled, including holidays.

As a Multi Skilled Worker, You Will
  • Perform housekeeping duties such as maintaining the cleanliness of residents’ rooms and common areas.
  • Assist with food preparation, set up and cleanup of chairs & tables, serving meals, delivering trays to residents, dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.
  • Perform duties according to health & safety guidelines, report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately and other reasonable requests from management
About You
  • You must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
  • Previous housekeeping and food services experience is an asset
  • Previous experience in the healthcare environment or long-term care setting is preferred
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good command of English language, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
