Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Multi Skilled Worker to support housekeeping, laundry and food service for residents with memory and health issues. You will work seven days a week from 6am to 6:30pm, with shifts including holidays.

Must lift up to 20lbs, stand for extended periods, and have reliable transportation. Responsibilities include maintaining room cleanliness, assisting with meals and kitchen duties, and adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent required.
• Previous housekeeping and food services experience is an asset.
• Healthcare/long-term care environment experience preferred.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good command of English, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping duties such as maintaining cleanliness of residents' rooms and common areas.
• Assist with food preparation, set up and cleanup of chairs & tables, serving meals, delivering trays to residents, dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Follow health & safety guidelines and report injuries or hazards to the supervisor immediately.

Job description

Covering areas of Housekeeping, Laundry and Food Service to residents with memory and Health issues. We operate 7 days a week with hours between 6am-6:30 pm. Must be able to multi task, lift up to 20lbs, stand for extended periods. Must have reliable transportation and be available for shift work when scheduled, including holidays.

As a Multi Skilled Worker, you will:

• Perform housekeeping duties such as maintaining the cleanliness of residents’ rooms and common areas.
• Assist with food preparation, set up and cleanup of chairs & tables, serving meals, delivering trays to residents, dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Perform duties according to health & safety guidelines, report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately and other reasonable requests from management

About you:

• You must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
• Previous housekeeping and food services experience is an asset
• Previous experience in the healthcare environment or long-term care setting is preferred
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good command of English language, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
