Job summary

Vancouver Island Health Authority invites applications for a Combined Laboratory/X-Ray Technologist across multiple sites in coastal Vancouver Island communities. The role covers all shifts (days, evenings, nights, on-call) with regular travel between CICHC Alert Bay, PAHC Port Alberni, PHH Port Hardy, and PMH Port McNeill.

This full-time position requires the ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary health team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized combined Laboratory/ Medical Radiography Technician Program.
• One year of related experience or equivalent.
• CRC required (Criminal Record Check) for working with vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities

• Receive and complete requisitions, forms and reports.
• Monitor patients and perform imaging procedures.
• Carry out routine Laboratory and ECG testing.
• Utilize computerized patient data systems and manage supplies.
