Job summary

Interior Health is seeking an experienced Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist to join the Medical Imaging Department at Pleasant Valley Health Centre in Armstrong, BC. Shifts will be scheduled rotating day shifts, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment within a supportive team.

The CLXT will perform routine laboratory, x-ray and ECG procedures, along with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting as required, contributing to high-quality patient care in a community setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved Combined Laboratory X-Ray Technician program.
• Eligible for registration with a provincial licensing body.
• One year of general experience in laboratory and diagnostic imaging fields or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory, x-ray and ECG procedures per policies and accrediting bodies.
• Carry out routine and preventative maintenance of equipment and troubleshoot problems as required.

About the Job

The CLXT will perform a variety of routine laboratory, x-ray and ECG procedures in accordance with departmental policies, procedures and standards as defined by respective service and accrediting bodies. The CLXT also performs routine and preventative maintenance of equipment and trouble shoots equipment problems as required.

This is a Term Specific Part Time (0.80).

Shifts of work will be scheduled rotating day shifts.
