Job summary

Island Health is hiring Laboratory Technologists to join laboratory teams across Vancouver Island, BC, including Victoria, Nanaimo, Campbell River, and more. Multiple openings cover full time, part time, casual and temporary roles.

Relocation assistance up to $5,000 may be available and some positions may qualify for loan forgiveness programs. Successful candidates will be registered Medical Laboratory Technologists (CSMLS or CAMLPR pathways) with a recognized diploma in Medical Laboratory

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of recognized competency assessment exam and registration in CAMLPR or CSMLS certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist.
  • Graduation from a recognized diploma program in Medical Laboratory Technology.
  • Completion of core laboratory related courses within the last two years or one year recent, related experience within the last six years in the core laboratory section of the laboratory, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Island Health is seeking Laboratory Technologists to join Laboratory teams in cities and towns across Vancouver Island, BC (including, but not limited to Victoria, Nanaimo, Campbell River, Comox, Duncan, Port McNeill). Multiple openings are available, including full time, part time, casual and temporary positions.

Relocation assistance of up to $5,000 may be available to eligible candidates.


These positions may qualify for Provincial and/or Federal Loan Forgiveness programs.

  • Successful completion of recognized competency assessment exam and registration in the relevant field(s) of practice in accordance with the Canadian Alliance of Medical Laboratory Professionals Regulators (CAMLPR) pathways, or certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist; and

  • Graduation from a recognized diploma program in Medical Laboratory Technology; and
