Interior Health is seeking a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist to join the Medical Imaging Department at Slocan Community Hospital in New Denver, BC. The role involves performing routine laboratory, x-ray and ECG procedures and maintaining equipment in a fast-paced environment.

ThisPermanent Part Time (0.55) opportunity offers rotation of shifts and development opportunities within a supportive team committed to quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved Combined Laboratory X-Ray Technician program.
• Eligible for registration with a provincial licensing body.
• One year of general experience in laboratory and diagnostic imaging fields or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of routine laboratory, x-ray and ECG procedures in accordance with departmental policies and standards.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance of equipment and troubleshoot equipment problems as required.
• Support a dynamic, fast-paced Medical Imaging Department with rotating day shifts in a permanent part-time capacity.

About the Job

The CLXT will perform a variety of routine laboratory, x-ray and ECG procedures in accordance with departmental policies, procedures and standards as defined by respective service and accrediting bodies. The CLXT also performs routine and preventative maintenance of equipment and trouble shoots equipment problems as required.

This is a Permanent Part Time (0.55) opportunity.

Shifts of work will be scheduled rotating days.
