Position Overview

We are seeking aMultimediaGraphic Designerwho is passionate about both design and storytelling. This role is ideal for someone with an eye for layout, a knack for creating engaging social graphics, and a hands-on approach to video editing and production. You will lead the creative execution ofmagazine design, marketing & social content, andvideo production, ensuring that all materials reflect DARPAN’s visual identity and editorial tone. You’ll work closely with our editorial, digital, and marketing teams to deliver beautiful and effective creatives across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Layout and design of bi-monthly print issues using Adobe InDesign. Create editorial spreads and in-house ads, ensuring accuracy in bleeds, color, and resolution.
• Design compelling creative assets across digital advertising and social media.
• Produce media kit PDFs, flyers, and event branding collateral for annual events.
• Shoot and edit behind-the-scenes content, interviews, event recaps, and reels.
• Maintain brand consistency while bringing fresh, bold ideas to the table.
• Maintain visual consistency across digital touchpoints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degreein Graphic Design, Digital Media, Visual Arts, or a related field
• 2+ yearsof experience in a multimedia or design role (media, agency, or publishing preferred)
• Strong portfolio showcasingprint layout,digital graphics, andvideo editing
• Strong working knowledge of modern marketing communications methods including graphic design, digital design, photo-retouching, minor animation, promotions, newsletters, marketing collateral, video and social media.
• Proficiency inAdobe Creative Suite(InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro)
• Familiarity with:

-Social media trends and content specs (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, and Facebook)

-Video and sound editing for social and digital platforms

-Print production processes and file packaging

-Experience managing multiple projects and working with tight editorial deadlines

• Strong visual storytelling and layout sensibility
