Our Canadian operation, Canaccord Genuity Corp., is currently looking for a Multimedia Designer to join our Toronto based team. Reporting to the Creative Lead, this person will conceptualize creative ideas and develop innovative graphics to support our Investment Advisors and corporate marketing initiatives. This is a permanent, full-time role with hybrid work in the office.

Responsibilities:

• Bring ideas to life by conceptualizing creative ideas, overseeing filming and managing shoots.
• Handle post-production work to ensure a high standard of visual execution.
• Develop storyboards, motion graphics, animatics, animated text/titles, transitions, advanced GIFs, logo sequences, etc.
• Effectively manage timelines, maintaining consistent communication with the team, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work.
• Stay updated on current and emerging digital marketing design trends. Keep an eye on competitor operations to drive our unique and impactful marketing designs.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in motion graphics, video editing, graphic design, animation, visual communications, or related discipline.
• A strong portfolio showcasing professional work examples that demonstrate concept development and creative execution with excellent use of typography, composition and motion.
• 5+ years’ experience with graphic & motion design, Adobe Animate and Adobe CC, such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Advanced knowledge of the graphic design, animation, and video creation process, from storyboards to rendering.
• An ability to translate static imagery concepts into dynamic motion graphics.
• Proven time management skills with an ability to multi-task, work on various projects and meet strict deadlines.
• A high degree of creativity, attention to detail and organizational skills.
