Job summary

WestUrban Developments Ltd. in British Columbia is seeking a Building Manager to join our Property Management Team. You will oversee day-to-day operations of residential properties across Vernon, Kelowna, and Salmon Arm, supervising on-site staff and coordinating tenant relations.

This full-time role requires flexibility, occasional evenings and weekends, and travel between properties. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, with experience in property management software

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience in property management, building operations, or a supervisory role.
• Experience managing multiple properties and supervising staff is an asset.
• Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and record-keeping.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software (Buildium).
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with tenant relations.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day operations of multiple residential properties.
• Supervising on-site staff and maintenance personnel.
• Conducting regular property inspections to ensure standards are met.
• Enforcing policies and procedures across properties.
• Updating fire safety plans for multiple properties.
• Showing available suites to prospective residents and maintaining rental levels.
• Scheduling move ins/outs and processing related documentation.
• Overseeing contractors and site staff for maintenance and repairs.
• Coordinating on-site cleaners and maintenance, and providing support as needed.
• Handling water leaks, after-hours calls, and emergencies when required.
• Travel between properties as needed.
• Completing administrative duties including reports, records, and correspondence.
