Job Title: MSSQL DBA/Architect
Location: Open to candidates based in Montreal or Calgary
Client: Leading BFSI Client
Experience: Minimum 10 years

A premier BFSI client is seeking a seasoned MSSQL DBA/Architect with deep expertise in SQL Server administration and architecture. This role requires a strong foundation in performance tuning, high availability, and Azure database environments. The ideal candidate will possess both technical depth and excellent troubleshooting skills.

Must-Have Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of SQL Server internals, including indexing, partitioning, and Always-On availability

• Strong in performance tuning and query optimization using SQL Profiler and related tools

• Hands-on expertise in SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, and T-SQL

• Proficient in disaster recovery, log shipping, replication, and mirroring

• Experience with PowerShell scripting and Azure SQL administration

• Exposure to Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and automation tools

• Excellent communication skills to handle P1/P2 incidents

Preferred: MSSQL DBA Certification
