Job summary

Capgemini Engineering seeks a MRB-MAP In Service Engineer for night shifts based in Montreal. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering and a minimum of four years of relevant experience.

Key responsibilities include stress approvals on assembly defects and collaboration with engineering teams to resolve technical issues. The position offers a hybrid work model with flexible onsite requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in MRB or MAP for commercial/business aircraft; prior MRB delegation is an asset.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); bilingual French/English is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve MRB stress for reworks and repairs during assembly.
  • Work closely with engineers for stress substantiations.
  • Support delivery teams with technical expertise.

Skills

Job Title

MRB‑MAP In Service Engineer (night shift)

Work Hours & Shift

Evening shift with flexibility: 12:00 – 21:00, 13:00 – 22:00, or 14:00 – 23:00.

Hybrid Mode

Hybrid (flexible), 3 days a week onsite in Mirabel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, make recommendations, and provide final MRB (Material Review Board) stress approvals for reworks and repairs on defects produced during the final assembly line, including acceptance of defects without repair, removal and replacement of damaged parts, and acceptance based on equivalent strength capability, equivalent stress levels, and environmental conditions.
  • Work closely with Liaison Engineers by providing timely stress substantiations for various manufacturing and assembly issues.
  • Engage with Stress engineering teams to resolve key technical issues.
  • Support the delivery process by providing technical expertise to delivery teams and external customers.
  • Exchange information and collaborate with other FAL sites to ensure sharing of technical knowledge.
  • Document analyses on stress work files.
Success Requirements – Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor’s degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in MRB or MAP for commercial/business aircraft; prior MRB delegation is an asset.
  • Experience in static, fatigue, damage tolerance analysis and finite element analysis; damage tolerance experience is a plus.
  • Good command of composite materials.
  • Experience in office design (design or stress) of aircraft structures (airframe).
  • Knowledge of stress calculations and justifications; proficiency in MS Office.
  • Knowledge of aeronautical materials.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as a team player.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); bilingual French/English is an asset.

  • CATIA V5

  • MS Office (Excel and VBA programming)
Compensation

Base compensation range: $73,556 – $98,074 CAD per year, subject to years of experience. Additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions may be eligible based on applicable laws and role requirements.
