Job summary

Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts (CRMR) is seeking a Grounds Labourer to maintain lodge grounds to high standards and ensure guest satisfaction. You will shovel, remove ice, assist with snow removal, and help with general maintenance tasks across staff areas.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, at least 6 months in landscaping or grounds maintenance, physical fitness, and flexibility to work varied shifts in all weather. Experience with heavy equipment is an asset.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Physically able to perform tasks such as shoveling and climbing ladders.
• Experience in maintenance labor is beneficial.
• At least 6 months of landscaping or grounds maintenance experience.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including extreme weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Keep sidewalks, roads, stair areas, patios, and balconies clear of ice and snow.
• Remove icicles from roofs and windows.
• Assist in snow removal using hand tools, heavy equipment, and clearing snow from roofs.
• Maintain cleanliness of lodge grounds, including litter pickup and waste management.
• Handle and manage wood supplies, including piling, stacking, and delivery.
• Check and maintain equipment daily.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts depending on weather conditions.
• Assist with general maintenance tasks in staff accommodation areas if needed.
• Operate heavy equipment for grounds maintenance (experience is an asset).
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
