Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Mortgage Underwriter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating loan applications and determining the creditworthiness of potential borrowers. Your expertise in financial services and risk analysis will be essential in making informed decisions that align with our lending policies and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Review and analyze loan applications, financial statements, and credit reports to assess borrower eligibility.

Conduct thorough risk analysis to identify potential issues and mitigate risks associated with lending decisions.

Utilize strong math skills to calculate debt-to-income ratios, loan-to-value ratios, and other financial metrics.

Negotiate terms and conditions with borrowers as necessary to ensure compliance with underwriting standards.

Collect and verify data from various sources to support underwriting decisions.
