Job summary

Randstad Canada is hiring a Skilled Setup Technician for Injection Molding in Barrie for the afternoon shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM). The role involves operating ENGEL injection molding machines, monitoring processes, and performing routine maintenance to ensure high-quality plastic components.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in injection molding or related manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with hand tools and basic machining techniques is essential.
• Familiarity with safety circuits on machines is a plus.
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.
• Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Experience working with PVC, CPVC, ABS and other types of plastics.

Responsibilities

• Operate injection molding machines according to established procedures and specifications.
• Monitor production processes, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.
• Utilize hand tools and machinery and being comfortable in a production environment on the shop-floor.
• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste in the production process.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining ENGEL Injection Molding machines, ensuring the production of high-quality plastic components.
