Job summary

Halfords is looking for a Mobile Technician to bring car care directly to customers’ driveways from Peterborough. The base salary is £31,002 per year, with on-target earnings up to £32,502 and a 44‑hour week.

Shifts run Mon–Sun with alternating weekends, and a comprehensive training programme supports you from day one. You will perform battery replacements, windscreen repairs and oil & filter changes, travelling via a provided van guided by smart routing tech.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Tyre Fitter or in vehicle repair work is desirable.
• Ability to problem-solve and work on own initiative.
• Passion for cars and motoring.
• A valid driving licence with ≤6 points.

• Shift pattern between Monday - Sunday including every other weekend 8:00 - 20:00

As a Mobile Technician, you’ll use your technical knowledge, problem-solve
ing ability and customer service skills to keep our customers moving. After collecting your fully equipped van from the local Hub, you’ll be guided through your route by our smart technology, carrying out a wide range of repairs and services for our customers.

With full training provided for any gaps in your skill set, you can expect to carry out the following work, day-to-day:

• Battery replacement
• Windscreen repairs
• Oil & filter changes

Skills and experience

• Previous experience as a Tyre Fitter or in other vehicle repair work is highly desirable
• Ability to problem-solve and work on own initiative
• This role will suit those with a real passion for all things cars & motoring
• A current valid driving licence with no more than 6 points
