Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid BC security guard license.
• Experience with access control, CCTV monitoring, and alarm systems.
• Ability to perform 40 hours per week with weekend shifts.
• Must be at least 25 years old.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mobile patrols of designated areas to deter unauthorized activity and protect personnel and property.
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarms and respond to breaches or disturbances.
• Perform security checks on doors, windows and access points for compliance.
• Interact with clients, visitors and employees, providing directions and information while enforcing policies.
• Document incidents and observations and report to supervisors.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain logs of patrols and incidents and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Inspect security equipment and vehicles and report deficiencies.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend security enhancements.
• Participate in training to enhance security procedures and response protocols.
