Job summary

Seneca Polytechnic - Newnham Campus is seeking a Full Time Mobile Guard to support safety across multiple locations on campus. You will respond to incidents quickly and assist in coordinating security operations as needed.

As part of Paladin Security, you will maintain a professional, proactive presence with strong communication and driving/patrol responsibilities. A valid G-class license, First Aid/CPR, and willingness to obtain UOF/MOAB are required.

Qualifications

• Standard First Aid and CPR Level C from a WSIB-approved provider.
• G-class license with clean abstract.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Must provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and MOAB or enroll in Paladin program.

Responsibilities

• Mobile patrols across campus facilities and parking areas.
• Respond to incidents and assist on-site during safety operations.
• Coordinate escorts with emergency providers as needed.
• Incident and maintenance reporting.
• Drive and maintain security vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Mobile patrols across all campuses, parking lots, and off-site facilities
• Conducting safety audits, unlock/lockup, and support for site-specific needs
• Assist in coordinating emergency provider escorts to campus location
• Campus to campus deliveries
• Patrol satellite campus buildings using patrol verification technology
• Strong independent work and organization skills
• Incident and maintenance reporting
• Driving and vehicle care responsibilities
• Assist the public in general vehicle maintenance (change tire, boost batteries, etc.)

Qualifications

• Standard First Aid and CPR Level C from a WSIB-approved provider
• Strong communication skills and an upbeat, professional attitude
• Previous mobile/security driving experience an asset
• Flexibility and knowledge of GTA roadways
• G-class license with clean abstract
• Professional, adaptable attitude
• Must not be a current Seneca student at Newnham Campus
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
• Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB certification program prior to their onboarding training
• Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
