Job summary

Paladin Security Group Ltd. is seeking a diligent Full-Time Security Guard for Yorkville Village in Toronto. You will patrol the outdoor retail destination, observe and report security incidents, and coordinate with the client team to maintain safety and order.

The role requires a valid Ontario Security License, First Aid and CPR Level C, and English fluency. Shifts run 0800–1600 or 1600–0000; daily pay options may be available. Relocation not required.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security License is required.
• First Aid & CPR Level C certification is required.
• English fluency (oral and written) is essential.
• Experience in security, law enforcement, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain alertness and safety while patrolling the site in all weather conditions.
• Communicate with security staff, dispatchers, and client management.
• Enforce Paladin Security policies and procedures on site.
• Complete mobile patrols diligently and document incidents.
• Investigate security incidents and report to supervisors or clients.
• Uphold professional appearance and conduct, representing Paladin Security and clients.
• Respond to emergencies following established procedures.

Yorkville Village - Full Time Security Guard(Paladin Security Group Ltd.)

Site Description: Yorkville Village, managed by First Capital, is a premier mixed-use property at the prominent Yonge and Bloor intersection in Toronto’s Bloor-Yorkville neighborhood. This open‑air retail destination features flagship tenants including Nike, Mango, and Chick‑fil‑A. Easily accessible by transit, car, or foot, it is surrounded by vibrant cafés, restaurants, and upscale retailers in one of Canada’s busiest urban hubs.

Position: Full Time Security Guard

Pay Rate: $19.00/hr.

Schedule: Monday - Friday (0800-1600 hrs) or (1600-0000)

OT Method: Overtime is Employment Standards Act

Key Responsibilities:

• Being alert and observant while being outside, standing or walking for an extended period in all weather conditions (Rain, Snow, Excessive Heat & Cold…etc.)
• always Maintain communications with fellow Security Guard/dispatchers, Cliental and Paladin Managerial Staff.
• Ensures all site staff adhere to all Paladin Security policies and procedures
• Completing mobile patrols diligently
• Documents and investigates security incidents and complaints
• Communicates any concerns/issues with Supervisor/Client Service Manager or the client
• Always Maintain the highest standard of security, being professional in attitude, appearance and application
• Represent Paladin Security, Yorkville Village and their respected customers in such a way as to enhance the quality, image and reputation
• Perform security duties in accordance with established procedures. Ensure they are being conducted within the limitations of any federal, provincial and municipal laws
• Be observant and record all discrepancies, deficiencies and safety hazards/concerns noted during patrols and take corrective action either informing the applicable department or handling it personally, whenever possible
• Be courteous, and helpful in enforcing all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations
• Respond immediately to any emergency and co‑ordinate response accordingly based off established procedures

Prerequisites:

• Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB‑approved vendor)
• English (oral and written) fluency is a must
• Previous one year experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
• Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position

Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre‑employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6‑month commitment to the position/availability
