Job summary

Brandt Group of Companies is seeking a Field Heavy Equipment Technician to perform diagnostics, service maintenance and repairs on customer equipment in field settings. You will troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, work with safety standards, and ensure timely resolution of issues for customers.

You will also mentor apprentices and maintain tools and documentation. This role requires a trade qualification and 3 years of relevant experience, strong problem-solving

Qualifications

• Trade qualification required; 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Computer and diagnostic/calibration aptitude.
• Strong time management under pressure.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to complex diagnostics on power equipment to identify repair needs and minimize downtime.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems to restore performance.
• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as fluid changes, filter changes, and lubrication.
• Execute engine and transmission diagnosis, repair, or replacement.
• Mentor apprentices and support training activities.
