Job summary

Family Day Care Services is seeking a Mobile Early Childhood Educator to provide high-quality early learning and care across Peel Region centres in Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon. This full-time role travels to different child care locations and follows CCEYA guidelines.

The Mobile ECE will implement High/Scope and Hanen programs, plan engaging activities, and support children with diverse needs while collaborating with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Early Childhood Education Degree or Diploma.
• Must be registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
• Training in HIGH FIVE®, PHCD or HIGH FIVE® Sport is an asset.
• Minimum 2 years of child care experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement High/Scope educational approach and Hanen Learning Language program.
• Plan and develop programs reflecting children’s interests and diverse needs.
• Participate in short and long-term planning and evaluation activities.
• Observe and assess children’s progress to meet needs.
• Lead assessment meetings for children with special needs with supervisor and/or agencies.
• Demonstrate empathy and support to the family unit.
• Practice respectful communication with children, parents and staff.
• Support and encourage children dealing with difficulties.
• Ensure compliance with Ontario Health and Safety standards.
