CANADIAN ROYALTIES INC. in Quebec invites applications for a Mobile Maintenance Supervisor.

You will lead the mechanical management of mobile fleets, report to the General Foreman, and ensure safe, efficient operations on a 4 week rotation with two work weeks (84 hours) followed by two weeks off. The role requires DEP, 7–10 years supervising and planning, familiarity with SIS/CMMS, and bilingual French/English.

Qualifications

• DEP in a relevant discipline.
• 7–10 years of supervision and planning experience.
• Mining Modules FMTM 1,2,3,4,5,7 are assets.
• Experience with mining/underground equipment is an asset.
• Proficient with MS Office; SIS/CMMS familiarity.
• Valid driver’s license and explosive permit.
• French/English bilingualism is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of mechanics and oversee mechanical management of vehicle fleets.
• Identify work required for mobile equipment.
• Ensure quality of work performed by the team.

Job description

The regular work schedule is on a 4 week rotation with 2 weeks of work (84 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks of rest.

Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the General Foreman, the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor will be accountable for all mechanical management aspects of various vehicle fleets. Their primary responsibilities will include:

• Managing a team of mechanics.
• Identifying work required for the mobile equipment fleet.
• Ensuring the quality of work executed by the team.
• Organizing and overseeing the department to effectively address diverse demands.
• Collaborating with planners for work preparation and parts orders.
• Minimizing downtime for production equipment.
• Conducting performance evaluations and participating in departmental hiring.
• Adhering to health and safety requirements and guidelines.
• Undertaking any other related tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Vocational Studies Diploma (DEP) in a relevant discipline.
• 7 to 10 years of experience in supervision and planning.
• Possession of Mining Modules FMTM 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 (an asset).
• Enhanced knowledge of various mining and underground mining equipment (an asset).
• Understanding of effective personnel supervision practices.
• Proficient in MS Office suite.
• Familiarity with SIS and CMMS systems.
• Valid driver's license and general explosive permit.
• Due to frequent interactions with French-speaking team members, bilingualism (French/English) is an asset to facilitate and enhance our internal communications.
